These past two years have just flown by! I cannot believe my baby is two years old. Bean liked to call her birthday her "Happy Day!" On her happy day, Bean, mommy, daddy and Papa (Grandpa V) went out to eat at The Cheesecake Factory and then we went to Build A Bear. Bean spends so much time playing with her teddy bears (all gifts or hand me downs) and since she loves them so much we thought we should let her pick one. She loved being at the mall and when ever no one was holding her she would run away. This kid really loves freedom and the ability to explore.
This past weekend Grandma Gassner, Aunt Michelle and Bean's cousins Kaylie and Jaden came down for the night. Bean stayed at the hotel with them and got to go swimming three times. She was so excited to go swimming and didn't even notice that mommy and daddy had left for the night.
On Sunday my family came over to watch the Packer game and celebrate Bean's birthday. Bean was overjoyed when we brought out her ice cream cake and sang happy birthday. I don't think I've ever see her smile so big!
It is amazing to look back at the past two years and see just how much our baby has grown. She is talking up a storm and seems to learn a new word or phrase every day. I am so happy to see that she is so independent, but I'm a little sad that she doesn't need me to help her as much. This morning I came in from starting the car to find her at the top of the stairs with her mittens and jacket on and ready to go to school.
Of all the things Bean can do, my favorite is her ability to show love. She is so good at giving hugs and kisses and she is quick to make you feel better if you are sad.
I am so excited to see what the next year with Bean brings. I just hope that time doesn't continue to go so fast!
